Lamp Designs

Horticulture – In-Door Grow Lamps

Depicted is a photographic interpretation of our lamp technology’s color spectrum, with higher resolution than that of commercial indoor grow lamps.

Lamp Design Benefits:

  • High-Resolution Full Spectrum
  • Low operating temperatures
  • Higher Efficiency
  • Low Electromagnetic Radiation
  • Engineered with proprietary fiber-optics

Central Light Engineering

BASE Scientific is developing a central lighting system designed to be as efficient and convenient as central air conditioning or built‑in vacuum systems. Instead of requiring numerous individual fixtures, this approach uses a limited number of high‑performance lamps installed at strategic locations within the greenhouse. Our exclusive fiber‑optic cabling then delivers light wherever it’s needed, allowing you to place fixtures securely and easily throughout the space, while significantly reducing installation costs and minimizing electromagnetic interference. We are also actively researching and designing residential applications for this technology.

Optical Grade Light Fixtures

Our design goal is to offer a wide range of 3D‑printed, optical‑grade light fixtures, from broad‑area illumination to narrow, focused beams. You can start by choosing from BASE Scientific’s library of designs or, with our forthcoming software application, create your own custom fixtures.

You’ll be able to share your designs with the BASE Scientific growers’ online community. When a design is proven to deliver superior performance, we plan to offer licensing opportunities so creators can earn revenue from their designs.

Plasma Heat Engineering

The illustration on the left shows a prototype lamp designed to heat air more efficiently than conventional resistive wire, which sadly has been used for more than a century. This innovative approach to heating has the potential to replace many existing home appliances that generate heat. We are currently developing working models, and efficiency data will be shared publicly once these technologies have been evaluated by qualified, independent third parties.

In the image on the right, you can see two concept illustrations of plasma lamps designed to heat liquids. By replacing conventional water‑heating elements with our lamp designs, it is possible to significantly reduce the power required to bring water to a boil. Our upcoming products are intended to serve as direct replacements for all major water heater brands. Note: for intellectual property protection, these models illustrate the concept only and do not represent the final product designs.

Advanced Spectrum Control

Apple IOS and PC tablet users control advanced spectral features.

  • Sixty-four color spectrum adjustments
  • Emulate sunrise and sunset spectrums
  • Catalog specific plant spectrum signatures
  • Mold and insect prevention

Using an iPad or tablet, you can monitor your plants’ color spectrum in real time and adjust it as needed. By integrating sensors for pH, temperature, and humidity, you gain access to advanced monitoring tools that support precise, high‑performance indoor horticulture.
