At BASE Scientific LLC, we are committed to making sustainable lighting technologies accessible to everyone. Our focus is on designing lamps with intelligent, high‑resolution light spectrums suitable for homes, indoor horticulture, and commercial applications.

We are a grassroots-operated business based in Southern Oregon. Drawing on twenty‑five years of experience in the professional technology sector and twelve years in sustainable engineering, I am dedicated to developing the next generation of advanced light‑spectrum technologies. Our goal is to help increase plant yields safely and intelligently while significantly reducing power consumption and electromagnetic interference.

John “Jack” Barakitis is a second‑generation inventor dedicated to developing sustainable technologies for the future. His expertise spans light‑field research, advanced solar power technologies, energy sciences, and innovations that enhance the indoor horticulture industry.

Nikolaos Barakitis spent twenty‑five years as a research and development engineer at GTE Sylvania Lighting before his passing in 2002. During his career, he was awarded twenty‑six U.S. patents. He was also the father of John Barakitis, who went on to develop light‑based sterilization technologies for food and water in developing countries. Today, Nikolaos’s legacy continues through BASE Scientific Research—Barakitis Advanced Sustainable Engineering—which carries forward his commitment to innovation in sustainable lighting and energy technologies.
