At BASE Scientific LLC, we strive to make sustainable technologies accessible to everyone. Our focus is on creating lamps that have high-resolution intelligent spectrums. These lamps are suitable for use in homes, horticulture (indoor grow) markets, and commercial applications.
Our business is family-owned and operated and is located in Southern Oregon. With my experience of twenty-five years in the professional technology sector and twelve years in sustainable engineering, I aim to develop the next generation of advanced light spectrum technologies. These technologies will help to increase plant yields safely and intelligently, while also reducing power consumption significantly.
John (Jack) Barakitis, a second-generation inventor, is involved in developing sustainable technologies for the future. His areas of expertise include light field research, advancing solar power technologies, energy sciences, and enhancing the indoor horticulture industry.
Nikolaos Barakitis, who worked as an R&D Engineer for GTE Sylvania Lighting for twenty-five years, passed away in 2002. During that time, he obtained twenty-six U.S. Patents. He was also the father of John, who developed light-based sterilization technologies for food and water in developing countries. Today, Mr. Barakitis’ legacy lives on through BASE Scientific Research, which stands for Barakitis Advanced Sustainable Engineering.
